Advice:"The Beast From The East" Nicolay Valuev (W42-L0-D0) should extend his unbeaten run this Saturday night when he takes on fortunate WBA Champion John "The Quiet Man" Ruiz (W41-L5-D1) at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany.
Ruiz had his butt kicked last time out against James "Lights Out" Toney (W69-L4-D2) only for Toney to be stripped of the title for testing positive to a banned substance!
"The Quiet Man" was behind by ten rounds on two of the scorecards & six on the other. After the fight it was fully expected that Ruiz would hang-up his gloves, but now reunited with his WBA belt he is being banded around the heavyweight division for glory again!
We think NOT.
Ruiz is a "Shot" fighter who does not deserve to be in there with the likes of Valuev. Fully expect the seven-foot Russian Giant to batter Ruiz into retirement for good this time.
He wasn't at his best last time when winning a majority decision against former Holyfield conqueror Larry Donald (W42-L4-D3) but prior to that had stopped five, very capable fighters including European Heavyweight Champion Paolo Vidoz (W20-L2-D0) who dropped in the 9th frame.
Valuev is a fearsome looking man who will come to the ring some 80lb heavier than Ruiz. Taking all factors regarding this fight into account we can see no other outcome than a resounding success for "The Beast From The East".
