Advice:
Congratulations to all those who followed our free ice hockey pick today. So far during the 2005 IIHF ice hockey world championships you should be $1150 in profit. More from the Innsbruck ice tomorrow, but for those who want something for tonight, see below.

Lightweights collide next weekend as the much-awaited WBC and WBO Lightweight Title Fight between "El Terrible" Jose Luis Castillo (W52-L6-D1) and Diego "Chico" Corrales (W39-L2-D0) goes ahead at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

"El Terrible" is up there with the very best in the lightweight division at the moment, and in our opinion warrants favouritism in this one.

His recent domination of Julio "The Kid" Diaz (W30-L3-D0), being only one of a string of World Class performances which also includes his memorable scrap against Joel Casamayor (W31-L3-D0). A toe-to-toe affair until Castillo asserted his superior authority in the latter part of the fight, eventually wearing down "El Capillo" to score a split decision (We had him 116-112 winner).

His complete domination of the ultra-talented Mexican Juan Lazcano (W33-L3-D1) eleven months ago is probably his best outing to date. We rate Lazcano very highly in this division, but believe the beating he took in this bout could be career-changing. To control a fighter of Lazcano's capabillities with such easy is the clincher for us.

Corrales comes to the table with plenty to offer. After being stopped by Joel Casamayor (On Cuts) in October 2003, he came back to defeat "El Capillo" some five months later by way of a split verdict, but not before being sent to the canvas in the 10th.

His last effort was also a great result, beating the formally undefeated Brazilian Acelino "Popo" Freitas(W35-L1-D0) over ten, very one sided rounds. He eventually beat Freitas so badly the Brazilian informed the ref he didnt want to continue and the bout was stopped on his refusal to defend himself.

But this must have been "De-Ja-Vu" for Corrales, who sustained an every more ferocius beating at the hands of "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather (W33-L0-D0) in Jan 2001. Corrales was sent to the floor five times in total through this one, before the his corner-men threw the towel in to save him from an early boxing retirement.

Corrales was fully exposed in this one, and such was the severity of his beating, he took a full two years to recover and get back into the groove. He has performed well since his comeback, BUT Castillo is the cream of the division today and he could well sustain further injuries to Corrales in this one, who is about a 1/10 shot to hit the canvas tonight.

Castillo with 52 victories in his 59 fight career is an easy selection for this one. Earlier in the week we were siding with him taking it via the judges, but taking both fighters comments into account this will definately not be down to scores.

Take the Mexican to stop the loud mouth Californian midway through the fight, probably by way of technical knock-out. Castillo is good in this one.

By far the best price on the Castillo stoppage is the 4.800 with SportingbetUSA, hit em for a bundle.
