Advice:
Luis Collazo (W24-L1-D0), a 23 year old southpaw from Brooklyn, is a solid choice in tonight's WBA Welterweight Title bout where he takes on reigning WBA Champion Jose Antonio Rivera (W37-L3-D1).

Collazo is a confident talking Don King-promoted fighter. He comes into this fight on a ten bout winning streak, which has seen his world-ranking rise to number 12 by the WBA.

Fighting professionally since the Spring of 2000, his only professional loss came at the hands of Edwin Cassiani (W23-L3-D0 at the time), in Las Vegas almost three years ago.

Rivera is in the 12th year of his professional fight career and is noticeably on the decline. He has fought just twice in the past four years. His latest effort was for the vacant WBA title, where he took apart the unbeaten German Michel "Phantom" Trabant (W40-L2-D0) over 12 rounds in September 2003.

We feel Rivera has bitten off more than he can chew on his reappearance this time. Advice is for a smaller stakes wager on the underdog in this one. His confidence at this weeks press conference was astounding. He predicted a late stoppage. Although we think he may be slightly wrong on that score, we will not disagree with him on his outright chances. He may just have to wait for the scorecards to confirm his promise.
