Advice:Mexican Super Middleweight Enrique Ornelas (W20-L1-D0) has an easy opportunity to add win number 21 to his record this weekend when he takes on American Light Heavyweight Sam Reese (W17-L12-D4) at the Desert Diamond Casino, Tucson in Arizona over 12 rounds at Super Middleweight.
24 year-old Ornelas has a near perfect record, with his only blemish being a strange 9th round TKO against rookie Christian Cruz (W9-L2-D1) back in September 2004. Ornelas had Cruz down three times in the 9th of that fight and was ahead on the scorecards by 11, 9 and 9 points respectively before getting tagged by a haymaker thrown in sheer desperation by a gutsy Cruz.
That punch aside, Ornelas has shown he is very capable at this level. Noted to have very quick hand speed for a 170lb brawler he will have far too much ammunition for Reese who's biggest claim to fame was having his lights switched out in the 1st round, for a full 5 minutes by Etienne "ET" Whitaker (W32-L16-D2) in April 2004.
Reese also took a battering on his penultimate start, going down to a unanimous decision at the hands of the "Fairly-Useful" Montell Griffin (W45-L5-D0) last month, and although very active (Fought 9 Times In 12 Months) he will be found wanting.Ornelas is "Good in this one".
Best and only price on the boards is the 1.270 with Pinnaclesports. This one is ours and is advised to large stakes. Reese is simply "Not Good Enough".Believe.
