Father time will no doubt be the excuse when Mikkel Kessler relieves "Super Champion" Joe Calzaghe of his WBO & IBF belts tonight at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

At 35 the Welshman is definitely not getting any younger and although having won 43 straight fights on the bounce (32 KO's), he faces an equally experienced, but far younger man in Kessler.

Home advantage will help, but not enough to overcome the floorless artistry that Kessler brings to the table. The man they call "The Viking Warrior" is technically gifted and should use his power and accuracy to outsmart and then outstay the gutsy Welshman.

The first sportsbook to open up on this bout was Expekt a few months back. They made Kessler the 1.80 jolly, with Calzaghe at 1.90. We agree with their opening line, but seem to be in the minority with that opinion.

Kessler has been well backed from Skybet opening price of 15/8 down to his current best price of 2.50 at Coral, and it is there that we have decided to invest.
