Tip Details: Mario Veit (LOST)
Date tipped: 14/9/2007
Date of event: 15/9/2007 Sport: Boxing Event: WBO Super-Middleweight Title Fight (Veit v Braehmer) Selection: Mario Veit Odds: 2.500 Stake: 200 Advice: After a couple of weeks off due to site upgrades & a lull in the boxing calender we are back with a cracker for subscribers. German Jurgen Braehmer (W29-L1-D0) faces an uphill struggle when he defends his WBO Inter-Continental super middleweight title again former conqueror Mario Veit (W49-L3-D0). When the pair met in May last year it was under-dog Veit who was comfortably in control of the bout. He had Braehmer down in the very first round and dominated the fight from there on. It was clear to all by the final bell that Veit was the winner by at least 3 or 4 rounds. Scorecards would lead you to believe the bout was far closer than it actually was, but taking into account the fight was in Braehmer's back-yard and the fact that he held the WBC International super middleweight belt the judges were over generous to the Mecklenburg fighter. With this in mind we find it really difficult to understand why the sportsbooks have chalked-up Braehmer as short as 1.50 (Stan James) to get revenge. Veit in our opinion is sensational value at 2.50 with either Bwin or Stan James, both of whom have apparently not done their homework !! Braehmer is an arrogant big-mouthed bully who in fellow countryman Veit has met his match. Expect the far bigger man to "Again" dominate proceedings on his way to either a majority descision or a late round stoppage. Either way he is the most likely winner in what promises to be a brutal encounter. Stake £200 on Mario Veit at 2.50 with Bwin or UK-based Sportsbook Stan James. Wager returns a very healthy £300. |
