This weekends heavyweight brawl for the WBC International belt between current champion "The Bull From Bosporous" Sinan Samil Sam (W26-L3-D0) and "The Big Bear" Bob Mirovic (W28-L16-D2) is a sure fire bout to stretch past the 9th frame.
Sam has needed the judges opinions in each of his last five fights all of them being for this same title. His last bout back in July, was his first defence since winning the title back from Brazilian George Arias (W38-L9-D0) back in April 2005, was where he outpointed jumped-up cruiserweight Saul Montana (W47-L14-D0) in an out-an-out slugfest.
Mirovic is from a similar mould as Montana. Rugged, durable and has a journeyman look about his littered career record. Big Bob is 2" bigger, 25lb heavier and has a massive advantage in reach. He will use this to good effect keeping German at bay for much of the fight.
It is noted that Sam has never faced anyone bigger than himself in any of his past fights !!
Make no mistake Sam will collect here, but looks to have virtually no chance of extending his 50% knock-out ratio. The bigger guy will hang-on till the bitter end handing Sam a convincing points verdict.
