Advice:Heavyweight giant Nicolay "The Beast From The East" (W43-L0-D0) has been taken to the limit in his last two bouts and more of the same looks assured when he defends his WBA belt this coming Saturday against tough Jamaican Owen "What The Heck" Beck (W25-L2-D0) at the Tui Arena in Hanover, Germany.
Some fight reviewers marked Valuev down as a loser in his last bout against "The Quiet Man" John Ruiz (W41-L6-D1). We had the giant winning by 116-114. Either way Valuev put in a dismal performance for such a big man, and will need to step up from that if he is to stop Beck.
The Jamaican has only been stopped once in his 27 fight career, at the hands of Monte "Two Guns" Barrett (W31-L4-D0) in February last year. Since that defeat Beck lost a controversial decision to another giant, six foot six inch heavyweight "The Rainman" Ray Austin (W24-L3-D3) and then unanimously beat "Ding-A-Ling Man" Darnell Wilson (W18-L4-D3) over eight uninteresting rounds.
Beck has NEVER failed to make the ninth frame in any of his distance fights, even in defeat. Take him to at least frustrate Valuev into the ninth round with Betandwin, their offering of 2.20 looks way out of line to us. Snap up $200 worth.
